It's nice to see Elizabeth Banks making a transition to director. I've always liked her.

Cocaine Bear, which has a jaw-droppingly nuts trailer that made me want to drop everything and watch the film immediately, proves something of a let-down at feature length. Thankfully, at a trim 95 minutes, it doesn’t outstay its welcome either. Once it gets going, it features a handful of enjoyably bonkers set pieces, even if there aren’t quite enough of these to live up to the promise of the trailer.
